Lectures Delivered on National Science Day

National Science Week was celebrated in the last week of February, which culminated in National Science Day on 28 February. The celebration program was conducted by the Department of Science and Biyani Solutions Private Limited at the Utsav Auditorium of Biyani Girls College from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.

The welcome address was given by Dr. Dhyan Singh Gothwal (Principal, Biyani Girls College), who emphasized the importance of scientific thinking in day-to-day life.

The most anticipated talk of the day was delivered by Dr. Neetu Vijay, Senior Scientist at ICMR (Indian Council for Medical Research), New Delhi. She works as Scientist D in the Communicable Diseases Division and holds a Ph.D. in Life Sciences with expertise in epidemiology.

Dr. Vijay has been actively involved in national public health monitoring and research networks, including the Virus Research and Diagnostic Laboratory Network. Her published work on respiratory viruses and infectious diseases reflects her contribution to public health science in India.

Another highlight was the alumni success talk by Ms. Anjali Pandit, a graduate and postgraduate from Biyani Girls College, currently associated with B. Lal Institute of Biotechnology. She has authored 10 book chapters and a review article, with additional papers under review.

Recently, she cleared the Max Scholarship exam under the guidance of Dr. (Prof) Manish Biyani and Dr. Radhika Biyani Daga to pursue her Ph.D. in Japan. Her journey inspired students to explore international academic opportunities.

Learning Outcomes of National Science Week

Students of B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Biotechnology Course shared their feedback regarding the Science-Tech Week organized from 25 to 27 February 2026.

On the first day, students participated in the Rajasthan Biotech Conclave, featuring demonstrations, expert talks, and industry interactions.

On the second day, they visited the Research Laboratory at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, where they observed automated diagnostics and interacted with medical professionals.

On the third day, students explored the Entrepreneurship and Career Hub (ECH), University of Rajasthan, gaining insights into startup funding, innovation, and biotechnology entrepreneurship.

Concluding Session

Dr. Radhika Biyani Daga, Assistant Director of Research and Development, delivered the concluding address. She expressed gratitude to all attendees, speakers, and organizers.

The event concluded with a group photograph of the Science Department along with guests and dignitaries. Students had a valuable experience interacting with scientists, innovators, and entrepreneurs.
