Eligibility : No candidate shall be admitted to D.Pharm Part-I unless he/she has passed any of the following examinations in all the optional subjects and compulsory subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Biology /Mathematics / Biotechnology / Computer Science):
(i) Intermediate examination in Science; (ii) The first year of the three year degree course in Science;
(iii) 10+2 examination (Academic stream) in Science; (iv) Pre-degree examination
(v) Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examination.
Admissions of candidates to the Diploma in Pharmacy Part-I shall be made as per the rules / directions of the central admission authority / State Government. As per state government norms candidates should be graduate in any stream

D. Pharma (Diploma of Pharmacy) is a 2-year diploma degree program that deals with the
study of medicines, drug formulation, manufacturing, quality control, and their safe use.
Students must have passed 10+2 (Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry, and
Biology/Mathematics) from a recognized board (CBSE/State Board). The minimum age
requirement is 17 years.
The D. Pharma program is a full-time diploma course of 2 years (4 semesters), followed by
500 hours (approximately 3 months) of compulsory practical training/internship in a hospital,
pharmacy, or health centre approved by PCI.
The course is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) under Section 12 of the
Pharmacy Act, 1948, and follows the Education Regulations, 2020 for Diploma courses in
Pharmacy.
Yes, upon successful completion of D. Pharma (including the 500 hours practical training),
graduates are eligible to register as licensed pharmacists with the State Pharmacy Council under
Section 33 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948. Registration is mandatory to practice pharmacy in India.
The total tuition fees range from ₹72,300. Additional costs include registration, counselling
and examination fees, internship fees, and hostel accommodation and bus charges (if
applicable).
Admission is based on: Merit (10+2 marks in PCB/PCM) and follows the guidelines of PCI
and Rajasthan University.
