In a Client- Server Network each computer or process on the network is either a client or a server. Servers are defined as powerful computers. The servers which are dedicated to managing disk drives are called file servers, which are dedicated to managing printers are called print servers, or which are dedicated to managing network traffic are called network servers. Clients are defined as PCs or workstations on which users can run applications. Clients depend on servers for resources, such as files, devices, and even processing power.

The operating systems of Client-server network allow the network to centralize functions and applications in one or more dedicated servers. The servers are also providing access to resources and security. Individual clients have the facility to access to the resources available on the servers. Working of Client-Server Architecture:
