We will examine six of the many AI tools available to see how they work.
To help students understand AI tools, Biyani Group of Colleges organized a competition in which students from each department used six different AI tools to generate different types of content. It could be videos, songs, images, or a PPT. The aim was to help students understand the role of AI in today’s world.
The competition gave students a more profound look into the world of AI. Students from different backgrounds, not only IT but also science, arts, and fashion designing, got to understand how AI works. They discovered that many tools exist in the market and that tasks they had not thought about before could also be done using AI.
Students faced some difficulties while generating content or completing the work assigned to them. But by the end, they were aware of the tools available in the market and what they could do. They also got an idea of how AI could be useful to us and how it could create risks.

A prompt is the instruction we provide to an AI tool to get the desired result. It plays an important role in how AI responds to our commands. AI tools do not understand our intentions in the same way humans do. So they work by processing the information we provide them, so how we frame our instructions makes a very big difference in the result.
For example, if we ask an AI tool to write a script, it will simply write an outline, but if we ask what characters we are looking for, what traits every character should have, or how poetic and logical this script needs to be, we need to write a well-defined prompt.
The instruction should be clear about what we want the AI to do. Providing enough context helps it understand the task, while mentioning the desired format can make the result more useful. If the first response is not what we expected, we can refine the prompt and try again. Learning how to give instructions is therefore an important step towards using AI effectively.

Claude is a conversational AI tool that can be used for discussions and idea generation. Users can ask questions or discuss a situation. For example, a student can explain a problem they are facing on the idea of their assignment, and Claude can help them think of a better idea. It can also assist with writing and understanding lengthy documents.

SciSpace is an AI tool that helps students with academic research. It helps them find research papers related to their topics and learn more about scientific studies. This can be particularly useful for science students who need to understand previous studies before beginning a project. So they have an idea about the methodologies and results.

Another concern is that AI may not always give correct information. Its answers can sometimes contain mistakes, so students should check the information before using it. They should also try to understand the topic on their own. This will help them identify whether the information provided by AI is correct or not. AI can make learning easier, but it should not replace our own efforts. After all, AI can help us develop an idea, but how we use that idea is still up to us.
