The Science Department of Biyani Girls College, Jaipur, held a special plenary talk and interaction with students on the captivating topics of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Nano science, and High-Speed Atomic Force Microscopy (HS-AFM) in the study of life's enigmas.
The theme for the session was “Unlocking the Secret of Life: AI Predicts, and HS-AFM Visualises”, and some of the recent developments being undertaken by scientific research in the present era were introduced to the students.
Dr. Madhu Biyani Addresses the Programme
Dr. Madhu Biyani (Assistant Professor, WPI Nano Life Science Institute, Kanazawa, Japan) addressed the Programme. She engaged with students and faculty members, discussing the potential of AI-driven technologies to contribute to the prediction of biological events and processes.
She also spoke of the significance of High-Speed Atomic Force Microscopy, which is an advanced technology that enables scientists to view biological activities at the nanoscale. Conventional methods might give just static information, but high speed microscopy can aid scientists in understanding minute biological processes in real time. This will give researchers a more intimate look at what is going on in living systems.
Dr. Madhu Biyani also discussed the potential that lies within the synergy of AI and cutting-edge imaging technologies. Microscopy can capture detailed information about the activities of microscopic biological creatures, but AI will help process and analyze the data, making it easier for researchers to understand patterns and the nature of complex biological processes.
Interdisciplinary Research and Future Opportunities
The session also enabled students to get insight into interdisciplinary research which brings together subjects like biology, nanoscience, advanced imaging and artificial intelligence etc. Such interactions can help students to grasp how new technologies are impacting the future of scientific research and opening new opportunities for life sciences.
The event saw the presence of the senior members and faculty of Biyani Group of Colleges like Prof. Manish Biyani, Abhishek Biyani, Sakshi Biyani, Dr. Dhyan Singh Godawal, and Dr. Shilpa Bhargava.
Interactive Session with Students
The programme ended with an interactive session with students where they discussed with the students and learned about the latest research and technological developments.
Overall, the plenary talk has inspired students with an informative and engaging look into the future of science and the potential synergy between AI and advanced microscopy in unravelling the mysteries of life at its smallest scales.
