Introduction

Lectures Delivered on National Science Day
At Biyani Girls College, National Science Week was celebrated during the last week of February, culminating on National Science Day (28 February 2026).
The celebration program was organized by the Department of Science and Biyani Solutions Private Limited at the Utsav Auditorium from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
The program began with a welcome address by Dr. Dhyan Singh Gothwal (Principal, Biyani Girls College), who highlighted the importance of scientific thinking in everyday life.
The most anticipated lecture of the day was delivered by Dr. Neetu Vijay, Senior Scientist at ICMR (Indian Council for Medical Research), New Delhi.
Dr. Neetu Vijay serves as Scientist D in the Communicable Diseases Division of ICMR. She holds a Ph.D. in Life Sciences and has extensive expertise in epidemiology. She has significantly contributed to public health monitoring and research networks, including the Virus Research and Diagnostic Laboratory Network.
Her research publications on respiratory viruses and infectious diseases reflect her dedication to advancing public health science in India. Her insightful lecture provided valuable knowledge and inspiration to students.
The program also featured an alumni success talk by Ms. Anjali Pandit, who completed her graduation and post-graduation from Biyani Girls College and is currently associated with B. Lal Institute of Biotechnology.
She has authored 10 book chapters and a review article, with three more research papers under review. Recently, she qualified for the prestigious Max Scholarship to pursue her Ph.D. in Japan.
Her journey served as a great source of motivation for students, encouraging them to aim for higher education and international opportunities.
