NURSES DAY was celebrated on 12 May’10, the birthday of Ms. Florence Nightingale, the pioneer of nursing. Dr. Sarvesh Joshi, Director, Shekhawati Hospital, Jaipur was the chief guest of the occasion. Oath ceremony was done with an objective to remind the nursing students about the noble profession and to make them more focused towards their duty and to serve the society.

9 Days Workshop from 9-18 July.’10 on ‘CREATIVE LEARNING & PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT’ was organized by the Deptt. of PEP for the fresher students of BBA, BCom, BCA, BA, BJMC, BSc, MSc, MJMC and B Tech courses. This induction program was aimed at developing and grooming the quintessential elements in the students thus helping them to shape up into a confident and positive personality.

On the opening ceremony, Shri Shyam Lal Agarwal, FCA, Financial Advisor, Govt. of Rajasthan, who was the Honorable Chief Guest, inspired the new Biyanites with his valuable address. In sync with the aim of the workshop, effective sessions were conducted by professional trainers covering varied topics such as Spoken English, Positive Thinking, Meditation, Group Discussion, Extempore, Time Management, Social, Dining & Party Etiquettes, Body Language, Memory Enhancement, Stress Management and Relaxation Techniques, Self Confidence, Corporate Culture, Art of Making Effective Presentation, Team Building, Self Motivation and Dance.

A grand closing ceremony was organized on the final day wherein students were given an opportunity to exhibit their talents and potentials by participating brilliantly in JAM and GD sessions. The dancing talents were exhibited by group performances. Prize Distribution Ceremony was also organized to motivate the students and to acknowledge their whole hearted participation.

Zenith-10, Fresher’s Party for the students of Commerce and Arts was organized on 6 Aug’10 with lot of extravaganza and thrill. The key fascination of the event was the Miss Fresher contest in which the young buds participated with loads of vigor and enthusiasm. Ms. Varsha Rawat, BBA-I was crowned ‘Miss Zenith-2010’, Ms. Madhuri Sharma B.Com-I was coroneted I-Runner- Up whereas Ms. Yasmin Siaj of BA-I was headressed II-Runner-Up. Titles such as ‘Best Smile’, ‘Perfect Catwalk’, ‘Beautiful Hair’, ‘Attractive Personality ‘and ‘Beautiful Eyes’ were also given. The interactive session with TV99 group was highly acclaimed by the students, making the celebration more gaiety and joyful. The senior students gave wonderful dance performances as a token of their love to the new students.

The College was dipped in striking colours, creativity and festive aura on 12 August’10 and the occasion was reflection of cultural values by celebrating TEEJ MAHOTSAVA. Students participated with eagerness in this fiesta to showcase their latent talent in the field of aesthetic values. Rangoli and Mehndi competition was organized with an objective of giving the students a platform to pour their hidden artistic flavor.

The 64th Anniversary of our Independence was celebrated on 15 Aug.’10. Shri ______________________ alongwith the Chairman and the Director of the Institute hoisted the flag on this patriotic day. The students presented captivating cultural programmes to exhibit their love for the nation.

A PICNIC was organized for the students and faculty members of Biyani Girls College, Deptt. of Science, Arts and IT at Pandupole on 21 Aug.’10 and Deptt. of commerce went for a joy trip to Sunrise Resort on 28 Aug.’10. Students had a gala time enjoying various water sports, horse ride, camel cart ride, mountain climbing etc. satisfying their adventurous streak.

FIVE DAYS ORIENTATION PROGRAMME was organized by Biyani Girls B.Ed. College for its newcomers from 1-4 Sept.’10. The highlight of the event was a talk by Prof. Ashok Sharma, Principal, Shri Agrasen P.G. College of Education, Jamdoli, on ‘Adjustments’. Dr. Kusum Lata, Principal, Education gave information about the academic activities and schedule to the fresher students. Faculty members introduced themselves to the students and various activities were organized during this workshop for making the environment comfortable.

TEACHERS DAY was celebrated on 5 Sept.’10 with great verve and enthusiasm by the students and faculty members. The college took an initiative of honoring the teachers for this special contribution in this field. The students showed their love and affection to their faculty members by organizing an interactive fun based party and by presenting small gifts as a token of gratitude.

On 9 Oct.’10 Fresher’s Party for the Engineering students was organized in Kalwar campus by Biyani International Institute of Engineering & Technology to welcome the new students with open hands, open minds and open hearts.

Dandiya Beatz, the Annual Dandia Fest was organized on 27 Oct.’10. Shri Pratap Singh Khachariyawas was the chief guest for the occasion. Students danced on the rhythm of Ground Shakers. The event was made memorable by the performance of Vinniz Dance Group. Attractive prizes were given to the kids, students and faculty members in various categories Ms. Parvez was chosen ‘Miss Dandiya Beatz-10’ and Ms. Karishma Lahoti as he energetic performer of the day.

VIJAY DIWAS was celebrated on 16 Dec.’10 to remember those brave soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces who laid down their lives fighting for the nation. Brig Randhir Singh was the chief guest of the occasion. Col Kahree explained the recruitment procedure in Indian Army. Col Buddheraj told how we brought independence from Bangladesh by sacrificing 2500 soldiers. Prof P. C. Jangir honoured the war-widows

'SPECTRUM-2010', Inter College Series of Competitions were organized by Biyani Girls College from 21-24 Dec.’10.

On 21 Dec.’10 Inter College Power Point Presentation Competition on the topic “Employment Oriented Education : Need of the hour” was held in which the team of Biyani Girls College, Taxila Business School and IGC secured the first, second and third positions respectively by presenting edifying presentations.

On the same day Inter College Group Discussion Competition was also organized. The sessions were very attention-grabbing as the students participated with full liveliness.

The topic for the last session was “Is cricket affecting the other sports in India”. IGC bagged the first position whereas BISMA and IIPM got tied on the second position by putting forth their thoughts brilliantly.

Debate Competition was organized on 22 Dec.’10. The students articulated their views on the topic “Networking Websites: Social Connection or Social Isolation”. More than 17 colleges participated and thus the first 5 positions were secured by BISMA, Kanoria College, BGC, IIPM and Maharani College.

23 Dec.’10 marked the Quiz Competition day in which Management and Commerce, IT and Biotech quiz were organized. The students participated with great enthusiasm in all the quizzes as all the rounds were very interesting.

BGG stood first in Management and Biotech quiz and shared the first position with BIIET in IT quiz.

A flamboyant and glitzy Dance Competition was organized on 24 Dec.’10. The event got a real hype with the presence of Mr. Mukesh Khanna (Shaktiman and Bhishmapitamah fame) and also with the fascinating and enthralling performance by the students in various categories such as Folk, Western and Semi Classical. Performances by Maharani College, BISMA, BIIET and IIPM were really appreciated by the judges.

SUBHASH CHANDRA BOSE JAYANTI was celebrated on 24 Jan.’11 to give tribute to our freedom fighters who laid their lives for getting freedom to India.

REPUBLIC DAY celebration on 26 Jan.’11 was organized with a patriotic feel. Sh. M.L. Gupta, MLA, Ex-Mayor of Jaipur, chief guest of the occasion hoisted the flag and honored Shri Amar Narayan Mathur and Shri Paliwal, the freedom fighters of our nation. Patriotic speeches and cultural programme were presented by the students.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP was organized twice in the college campus by the Nursing Department on 20 Nov.’10 and 26 Jan.’11 in association with Rotary Club, NSS and Biyani Girls B.Ed. College. 127 units were collected by Agrasen Blood Bank.

SAHAJA YOGA a 7 days’ workshop on meditation was held from 31 Jan. to 5 Feb.’11 in the college campus. The sessions aimed at bringing an inner transformation through self realization and maintaining emotional, mental, social and physical balance in life. It helped the students to cope with stress and strains of their life and to rejuvenate energy for better performance.

SNA CULTURAL WEEK was organized from 5-10 Feb.’11 by the Nursing Department. Events such as Rangoli Competition, Mehandi Competition, Poster Exhibition, Sports Activities, Nutrition Programmes and Dance Competition were organized. It was a platform for the students to exhibit their skills and talent in various creative fields. Prizes were given to motivate and appreciate the students.

BASANT PANCHAMI was celebrated on 8 Feb.’11 with effervescence and vigor. The celebration started with offering prayer to Maa Saraswati and sweet distribution. The college was dipped in beautiful yellow colour depicting the pious feeling towards this auspicious occasion.

SUR SARITA, a musical programme was organized on 16 Feb.’11 in the college campus. Pandit Padmakar Mishra and Ustad Moinudin Khan were the invited guests of the day who mesmerized the audience with their beautiful classical music and songs.

On 22 Feb.’11 the students of BBA-II bid goodbye their seniors by giving a FAREWELL PARTY. The theme was Cultural Diversity wherein the students showed various colours and shades of our culture through their dressing and decoration. Ms. Karishma Gupta was chosen Ms. Farewell.

On 23 Feb.’11 B.Com-II students gave a SEND-OFF PARTY to their seniors. It was a delight seeing the campus dipped in flowers theme. The students showed their love and affection towards their seniors by presenting handmade gifts. Ms. Ashna Bhatnagar was chosen Ms. Farewell.

5th Kalpana Chawla Memorial Award was organized on 24-25 Feb.’11. Mrs. Hamsini Menon, Chief General Manager, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur was the guest of honour for the occasion. Shri B.L. Chawla, Father of Late of Kalpana Chalwla was chief guest for the programme. Later the criteria for this award has always been the percentage obtained in X board examination. This year the modus operandi was changed. All the students were allowed to have the tiara through ‘The Kalpana Chawla Award Entrance Exam”, as conducted on 23 Jan.’11 at Jaipur center and on 30 Jan.’11 at Jodhpur center. With immense zeal and enthusiasm, examinations at both the centers epitomized excellence. Honorable chief minister Shri Ashok Gehlot blessed the students who had appeared in examination at Jodhpur center.

128 students were selected and they received trophy, certificate and scholarship. During the award function the book of Kalpana Chawla ‘A Success Story of Kalpana Chawla’ was released by the chief guest and the guest of honour.

To bid goodbye to BSTC students, a SEND-OFF PARTY was organized on 1 March’11 by the juniors. The occasion was dipped in emotional aura and was made memorable by exchanging experiences and memories of the campus. Gifts were presented as a token of remembrance.

A FAREWELL PARTY was organized by the Arts Department on 4 March’11 to bid goodbye to the senior students. Ms. Kirti Charan was selected as Ms. Farewell and Ms. Sonam Swami was the First Runner-up.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY - ‘SPANDAN’ – Annual award function to honor women who have faced struggles and challenges in their lives and has made a remarkable status in the society was organized on 8 March’11. Shri B.D. Kumawat, Parliamentary Secretary, Govt. of Rajasthan was the honorable guest on the occasion. Awards were given to Ms. Kulsum Malik, MD, Kala Kalp, Jaipur, Dr. Gunjan Jain, Gynecologists, Jain Fertility and Mother Care Hospital,, Jaipur Ms. Urvashi Dev Rawal, Bureau Chief, Hindustan Times, Jaipur, Ms. Anurag Verma, International, Katthak Dancer, Jaipur, Ms. Alka Batra, MD Aegis Jobs Pvt. Ltd., Jaipur, Dr. Meena Sogani, Former Vice Principal of Maharani Girls College, Jaipur, Brahmakumari Jayanti, Zonal Coordinator, Bapu Nagar, Center, Jaipur, Ms. Kavita Mishra, Ms. Malti Chauhan, Sports officer, Secretariat, Jaipur, Ms. Brahmani Pathak, Principal, Sanskar T.T. College, Jaipur. All the invited women shared their life experiences and motivated the students to achieve greater heights and success. .

Biyani’s always believes in doing things differently and hence VIRAT KAVI SAMMELAN one of own kind was organized on 15 March’11 on occasion of Holi Celebration. Eminent poets Shri Abdul Gaffar, Mr. Akesh Parth, Mr. Balwant Ballu, Dr. Sushila ‘Sheel’, Mr. Umesh Utsahi, Mr. Dinesh Sindal and Dr. Rajesh from across the nation were invited; they mesmerized the audiences and charged the environment with their fantabulous forms and flow of poetry. Shri R.D. Baheti, Chief Guest of the occasion honored the poets by presenting customary ‘Dushalla’ as a token of appreciation and gratitude.

On 30 March’11 a Farewell Party was organized by the GNM students to bid goodbye to their seniors. Ms. Santosh Mehra was chosen Ms. Farewell

RAJASTHAN DAY was celebrated on 30 March’11 by the Education department of the college. Dr. Shakuntala Sharma, Principal Rajshree T.T. College and Shri Anil Prakash, famous ‘Tabla Vadak’ were the special guests and judges for the occasion. Various competitions like dance, PPT and poster exhibition were organized in which students presented their latent talents and exhibited their creative bend of mind. Prizes were given to the students for their stupendous performance.

On 18 Feb.’11 an ADIEU PARTY was given to the final year students of science department. Ms. Neelam Choudhary was chosen Miss Farewell and Ms. Shivani Pareek was the first runner up.

6 Annual Function ‘WAVES’ was celebrated with great extravaganza on 1 March’11. Shri Vikram Singh Shekhawat, Member, Rajasthan Pradesh Congress and Shri Pradeep Baheti, Education Secretary Maheshwari Samaj, graced the occasion as chief guest and guest of honour respectively. The enthralling theme “WAVES” incorporated portrayal of assorted dance from the Indian and International horizon, brilliantly and awards were given to the students based on their academic and non academic excellence. This event marked the successful competition of the current academic session.

NATIONAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP NETWORK (NEN): The vibrant NEN team of the campus has worked diligently in organizing numerous events round the year in the institution. They have contributed to the success of Teacher’s Day, Fresher’s Party, Annual Function and many more. They have made us proud by actively participating in social endeavors such as Presentation on ‘Go Green’ at GIT, Jaipur and standing upright by taking up the social cause of saving ‘Mother Earth’ through working on a project on ‘Eco-friendly Environment’.

Orchid-10 a FRESHER’S PARTY was organized for the MBA students on 16 Sept.’10. It was a day when the new comers were welcomed with open hearts. A number of events were organized where great participation and enthusiasm of the students was observed. Rashi Pareek was selected as Miss Fresher and was given a crown and sash.
