Inter Collegiate Business Quiz

BISMA hosted Biz Quiz -09 on Nov., 21, 09 for the second consecutive year. Management Colleges from all across the region participated in this Mega Event. Few of the colleges who participated were IIIM, Gyan Vihar University, Taxila Business School, Mahrishi Arvind Institute of Management, Kautilya Institute, Apex Institute of Management. First prize was won by BISMA, second prize by St. Wilfred's & third prize by IIIM. Mr. Prashant Vaishnav, Head DC Infosys BPO was the chief guest for the event & the event was judged by Col. J.S. Lamba & Ms. Asha Sehgal.

Biyani's Group of Colleges has taken a unique initiative of Corporate Traineeship Programme (CTP) wherein our students are working with the various industrial houses on an ongoing basis, every day, after college hours. Global Talent Track (GTT)
Global Talent Track has been working in sync with Biyani Group of Colleges for providing professional training to the Biyani students by professional corporate trainers to include soft skills & technical skills enhancement programs, providing practical guest lectures from the top industrialists as well as providing placement assistance. Training Programme included varies topics such as Team Skills & Group Dynamics, Presentation Sills, Attitude & Motivation, Orientation to Corporate Culture, Adapting to Gender and Cultural Diversity, Business Etiquette & Communication, Creative Thinking, Problem Solving Skills, Body Language, Panel Interviews & Group Discussions etc.

Infosys Training Programme
Biyani's is an official centre for Infosys "Train the Trainer" programme. Biyani faculties have been trained by Infosys who in turn have trained the students to enhance their skills. The training programme was formally inaugurated by Mr. Raghuvendra, V.P-HR .

Genpact Training Programme
Genpact has signed MOU with Biyani's Group of Colleges for "Train the Trainer" programme. The training was held on the Biyani Campus for faculties for a period of 10 days. The modules included in the training were Team Work, Assertive Communication, Image & Self Confidence, Managing Change, Negotiation, Problem Solving, Customer Service, Time Management, etc.

Industrial Visits & Educational Tours

BISMA students went for the Industrial tour to Delhi-Rudhrapur-Nainital-Ranikhet-PantNagar-Ranibagh from 31st March 2009 to 5th April 2009. Industries visited were :

Parle G (Neemrana)
Students visited the parle G factory at Neemrana. They were taken for the complete factory visit where they understood the process of making of biscuits. Students interacted with the management and all their queries were answered.
HMT Watch Factory (RaniBagh)
Students visited the HMT watch factory at Ranibagh. Students were taken on a visit & understood the intricacies of the watch industry.
Mahindra and Mahindra (Rudhrapur)-Farm Equipment sector
Mahindra & Mahindra Rudhrapur Plant was visited by BISMA students where in students got indepth knowledge about the farm equipment products industry. The head of the Rudhrapur plant & HR team interacted with the Biyani Students & explained them the nittty-gritties of the sector.
HP Invent (Pant Nagar)
To gain the knowledge about the IT industry, students visited HP Invent where they got thorough knowledge about the Computer Hardware Industry. This was highly interactive session & lot of knowledge sharing was done. The students understood the practical aspects of the industry.
Bajaj Auto Ltd. (Pant Nagar)
Bajaj Auto PantNagar Factory was visited by Biyani Students to gain practical insight of the auto industry. Interactive session was conducted after the visit to solve the queries of the students.

Rajasthan Patrika
MBA,BBA & Journalism students visited Rajasthan Patrika & were briefed about the working of the print industry. Also the HR team shared with the students the managerial aspects of the industry.
Infosys BPO on Sept. 12, 2009
Students of MBA & BCA visited Infosys BPO. They were briefed by Mr. Nikhil Jain & Mr. Prashant Vaishnav Head DC Jaipur about the working of the BPO Industry & career opportunities in the Industry.
Industrial Visit to Shimla Chandigarh Delhi from 3rd to 10th December, 2009
Biyani Girls College had organized an industrial visit from 3rd to 10th December, 2009 for biotech students. During this industrial visit, students visited Central Potato Research Institute, Shimla, IMTECH Institute of Microbial Technology Chandigarh & IIT Delhi. The main objective of this visit was to direct the students towards research & to get knowledge about ongoing research work in different esteemed Biotech Organizations.

Alumni Association
Biyani Group of Colleges has instituted Biyanites Alumni Association in the year 2009. The first alumni meet was held on 04 July, 2009 which was attended by the erstwhile alumni fraternity of Biyani’s. The event was attended by more than 250 alumni and it turned out to be eventful and grand success which included the formation of the alumni committee, games, entertainment programmes followed by sumptuous dinner.
